Poultrygeist, Night of the Chicken dead – von Lloyd Kaufman

NIGHT OF THE CHICKEN DEAD: From the opening sequence, in which a pair of gawky teens attempt awkward sex in a cemetery and are anally prodded by a ghoul and spied on by a masturbating caretaker who gets his colon gruesomely yanked out by the undead, POULTRYGEIST is vintage Lloyd Kaufman/Tromaville schlock of the highest/lowest order. When a new fried chicken franchise is erected over an ancient ?Tromahawk? Indian burial ground, both employees and clientele are possessed by pissed-off flesheating human poultry, the likes of which haven?t been seen on screen since Brad Grinter?s LSD turkey-monster epic BLOOD FREAK. In between scenes of chicken chunkblowing and sick sex, we get blood-spattered lesbian antics, endless streams of both gore and human feces, cheap laffs, some pointed satire and far too many deeply dopey musical numbers. It?s an alternately hilarious and stomach-churning exercise in really bad taste that makes SOUTH PARK look like classic Ingmar Bergman by comparison. You?ve been warned?

Fazit:
Und da wären wir wieder in der berüchtigten Troma-Nische, einer der trashigsten Slobberecken des Universums. Ehrlich gesagt, habe ich die Berichte über Poultrygeist mehr für einen Running Gag gehalten. Heute aber hat mich Twitch überzeugt: es kommt in die Kinos (nee hier bestimmt nicht – niemals).
Für meinen Geschmack…nein ich will das nicht sehen. Aber  ich möchte dem interessierten Blogbesucher natürlich nicht vorenthalten was sich das Troma-Team da wieder ausgedacht hat:
